The Championship side lost Kemar Roofe to Anderlecht and moved fast to replace him. Nketiah becomes the club’s sixth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Jack Clarke, Helder Costa, Jack Harrison and Illan Meslier and Ben White and will compete with Patrick Bamford for the main striker role. Nketiah travelled to Yorkshire on deadline day to wrap his move up. Bristol City were interested in him and had been front runners last month before Unai Emery believed the young striker would stay at the Emirates Stadium this term.   But the Gunners have now decided to let him leave, despite a series of impressive pre-season performances, ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline. Leeds’ director of football Victor Orta has a good relationship with Emery and it is understood he made a personal pitch to Arsenal for Nketiah on Tuesday.   The England Under-21 international has made 19 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners and has scored three times since making his debut in the

After their initial bids were rejected, the club reportedly went back with a revised offer and that seems to have clinched the deal. It was earlier being reported that Arsenal were confident of signing Tierney before the deadline of the transfer window and it appears that they have finally got their man. This was confirmed by BBC journalist David Ornstein who said on Twitter: ‘Arsenal keen to sign Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney for years & finally have their man, subject to medical tomorrow (no formality given injuries but should be ok). Contact re-established this morning via Raul Sanllehi call to Peter Lawwell & deal swiftly concluded.’ He provided yet another update an hour back, claiming the defender will sign a 5-year contract with a transfer fee of £25m: This is great news for the club as they have gotten someone they have been after for a l

Everton are making moves in the transfer market. They have already spent £79m, with big names in Moise Kean and Andre Gomes among the summer arrivals. Former Ligue 1 winner Djibril Sidibé is also set to join the club on a season long loan from Monaco. But they aren't done yet. The Toffees want a winger and were targeting a move for Wilfried Zaha. According to multiple sources, including the Times, they even had a £70m bid rejected for him on Wednesday. Crystal Palace are believed to want £100m for their prized asset. It seems they have given up in their pursuit of Zaha and, according to multiple sources, including David Ornstein, Everton have now put in a £30m move for Arsenal's Alex Iwobi. Wow. Imagine going from Zaha to Iwobi. Unfortunately for Everton, Arsenal quickly rejected the offer. But they are expected to return with an improved bid as they attempt to land a new attacker before tomorrow’s 5pm deadline. If Everton do make an improved offer, it would be like Christmas
