Reported Arsenal injury news, Thomas Partey, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson all captured in the update

Reported Arsenal injury news, Thomas Partey, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson all captured in the update Arsena l midfielder Thomas Partey picked up an injury to his right thigh in training on Friday and did not feature in the 2-1 win over Fulham at the weekend. The club have described the problem as tightness in the muscle, rather than a pull or a tear, which indicates the Ghanaian international won’t be out of contention for too long. Oleksandr Zinchenko also missed the game on Saturday and it’s unlikely that he’ll be spending much time on the treatment table either. The Ukrainian international has a minor sprain in his left knee and he was left out for the Fulham match as a precaution. It would suggest that the defender will be available to face Aston Villa on Wednesday evening, while Partey may need a bit longer to recover. Fans will, though, be hoping he is back for the trip to play Manchester United next weekend. Reiss Nelson has not featured this campaign due to a muscular

Fabrizio Romano reveals the transfer details of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after Manchester United made a late bid to hijack Chelsea deal

Image
Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would prefer to sign for Chelsea ahead of Manchester United, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The Red Devils have made an enquiry recently about recruiting the ex-Arsenal player but Romano says the striker has his heart set on a move to Stamford Bridge: “United have asked about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. But Aubameyang has an agreement on personal terms with Chelsea, and has done for a long time. He wants to play Champions League football, and his priority is Chelsea, so let’s see. The Blues could also include Marcos Alonso in the deal, though Barca prefer for this to be discussed separately.”     Barca’s asking price for Aubameyang is said to be holding up a potential transfer. It has been reported that the Catalan club want around €30m (£25m) but Chelsea are only prepared to pay half that amount. As Romano mentions, the Blues are also keen to include wingback Marcos Alonso in a part-exchange offer but it seems that such a deal

During the summer transfer window, Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal. The north London club has been one of the busiest in the Premier League this transfer window, bringing in five first-team players, including former Manchester City duo Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, Portuguese playmaker Fabio Vieira, young Brazilian winger Marquinhos, and American goalkeeper Matt Turner. Since then, the Gunners have been weeding away marginal players, opening the door for someone like Tielemans to enter before the transfer market closes next month. With that stated, football.london has compiled a list of all the latest rumours concerning a possible move for the Belgian international. Tielemans' arrival to the Emirates Stadium this summer is 'unlikely,' according to The Athletic. They suggest that the Belgian is now likely to stay at the King Power this summer. Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Leicester City, is rumoured to se

There was a chance the player's contract might be extended for another year. City, on the other hand, has stayed quietly confident throughout the process and is now closing in on the prolific forward manager Pep Guardiola desires. The Spaniard lost out on signing Harry Kane last summer, and despi

Rodrygo scored twice, with Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema adding the gloss to ensure they wrapped things up with four games to spare. Needing only a draw to guarantee glory once more, it took 33 minutes for Rodrygo to open the scoring. The Brazilian added a second 10 minutes later with a fine finish in a dominant display at the Bernabéu.     Asensio’s strike allowed Carlo Ancelotti to rest players as they prepare for their Champions League semi-final second leg against Manchester City on Wednesday, before Benzema finished things off to leave Madrid uncatchable at the top. The league title is Madrid's second trophy of the 2021-22 season after winning the Spanish Supercopa in January. They will look to keep hopes of more silverware alive on Wednesday in their Champions League semifinal second leg with Manchester City , trailing 4-3 . "There are so many words I could use to describe how I am feeling about this news... delighted, humbled, blessed, privileged and excited would be a start," Klopp told LiverpoolFC.com . "There is just so much to love about this place. I knew that before I came here, I got to know it even better after I arrived and now I know it more than ever before. "Like any healthy relationship, it always has to be a two-way street; you have to be right for each other. The feeling we were absolutely right for each other is what brought me here in the first place and it's why I've extended previously. "This one is different because of the length of time we have been together. I had to ask myself the question: Is it right for Liverpool that I stay longer? "Along with my two assistant managers, Pep Lijnders and Pete Krawietz, we came to the conclusion it was a 'Yes!' "There is a freshness about us as a club still and this energises me. For as long as I

Cristiano Ronaldo Pick A Point For The Red Devils As He Cancelled Marcos Alonso Opener.

Image
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first Premier League goal in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in Thursday's Premier League clash at Old Trafford for Manchester United. Ronaldo, who has now scored United's last five goals, found the net just two minutes after Chelsea had taken a deserved 60th-minute lead through Marcos Alonso. The Red Devils have lost three out of their last four games in the Premier League - including back-to-back away defeats at Liverpool and then Arsenal. It is a huge game in the Manchester outfit's season as they look to keep tabs with those chasing a top-four spot. Despite controlling much of the game, Chelsea failed to make the most of a host of chances in a contest between two teams' whose tumultuous seasons are drifting toward their conclusion. "One team deserved to win and that was us. We didn't take it. It was a very, very good performance but we were not decisive enough. We lacked a bit of determination in the box to win the game," Chels

Liverpool With 2-0 Win Over Villareal As They Proceed Into To Winning The Champions League Again

Image
Liverpool has put a foot in the UEFA Champions League final after a dominant 2-0 win over Villarreal at Anfield on Wednesday night. On the evidence of the first half, Villarreal was comfortable in holding Liverpool off and the best attempt to break the deadlock came from a long-distance shot from Thiago Alcantara, which glanced off the crossbar.    But two goals in three minutes in the second half-an own goal from Pedro Estupinan and Sadio Mane meant Liverpool finally made their dominance count. This was Liverpool’s ninth win in 11 UCL matches this season and it broke a spell of goals from center-back Ibrahima Konate. Konate had scored in his last three starting lineups. Villarreal goalkeeper, Geronimo Rulli, bore the brunt of early groans from the Anfield crowd as he took his time over goal kicks. The first chance fell to Mane, and it was from a corner kick that Konate headed into his path but the Senegalese were tackled quickly for another corner which Mohamed Salah headed over. It

Manchester City Won Real Madrid 4-3

Image
Manchester City edged out Real Madrid in one of the most entertaining Champions League games in recent memory, to take a one-goal lead into the second leg of their semi-final. Pep Guardiola's side exploded out of the blocks. They took the lead early on after working the ball out to Riyad Mahrez, who had time to lift the ball into Kevin De Bruyne's path from deep. The Belgian headed home, and it was a dream start for the hosts.     The Etihad had been a strangely subdued place counting down to kick-off. Now it stirred and, when the second goal came, there was joy, even disbelief. Foden got away up the left and, when he found De Bruyne, the cross was whipped into the area. David Alaba tried to nip in front of Jesus to pinch possession, which felt risky, and he got it all wrong. When Jesus spun, the ball was still there at his feet. The finish was simple. City pushed again after the Vinícius goal. When Oleksandr Zinchenko was fouled by Toni Kroos, everybody seemed to stop – certa

Was Anyone Thinking Of Arsenal Getting a Point From Chelsea At Stanford Bridge?

Image
Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-2 in the Premier League helped by two Eddie Nketiah goals, leaving the Gunners running neck-and-neck with north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race for a Champions League spot.    The Gunners went ahead twice in the first half at Stamford Bridge thanks to Nketiah - who pounced on a weak back pass by Andreas Christensen - and Emile Smith-Rowe, only to be pegged back by equalizers from Timo Werner and Cesar Azpilicueta.     Nketiah restored the visitors’ lead in the 57th minute when he seized on another mix-up in Chelsea’s defence to make it 3-2, stabbing the ball home after Thiago Silva’s interception bounced into his path off Malang Sarr. Bukayo Saka rounded off the win when he converted a penalty in the 92nd minute after he was adjudged to have been fouled by Azpilicueta. The win left Arsenal just outside the Champions League qualifying positions in fifth place but level with Spurs on 57 points, with six matches to go. Tuchel also moved to clarify that
