Atletico Madrid have signed Lucas Torreira on loan from Arsenal. The Uruguay midfielder will spend the 2020/21 season at the Wanda Metropolitano. Atletico will pay a loan fee, as well as covering his wages for the season. There is an option to make the deal permanent for €20m next summer. The midfielders dropped down the pecking order with Mohamed Elneny returning to form and Dani Ceballos returning from Real Madrid for another season. Arsenal anchorman Matteo Guendouzi has made a switch to Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin on season-long loan deal.
