Breaking News : Arsenal To Announce Multi Million Pounds Deal This Weekend

Image
We pulled it off If rumours doing the round on the social media network twitter are anything to go by, Arsenal are set to announce their multi million pounds sponsorship deal with kit manufacturers Puma this weekend. It is well known fact that Arsenal will be swapping Nike for Puma in a deal said to be one of the biggest in the whole of Europe. It seems the deal will now be announced this week as pictures on twitter shows that Arsenal have started removing NIKE logos at the stadium and replacing them with Puma’s. Below is one of the image of places where Nike’s logo has been replaced with PUMA’s :

PHOTO: Injured Arsenal Star Confirms Return With Training Ground Pic

Arsenal attacker Lukas Podolski has handed us a timely boost by confirming he’s returned to training this week. The German hasn’t featured for the club since injuring his hamstring during our win over Fenerbache back in August. However, it seems he’s edging closer to a first team return after posting a picture on his Instagram account of him back on the training pitch with a message saying: “I ve been waiting for this moment – back on the pitch!  #afc #arsenal #lukaspodolski #podolski #adidas#comeback #fight #staydench #poldi #aha#upthebunner” Arsene Wenger has previously suggested Podolski won’t be back until the end of November but perhaps he’s slightly ahead of schedule now and we could see him back in a couple of weeks as long as he doesn’t suffer any set backs.

Arsenal’s Wenger: Podolski and Walcott can have big impact

Image
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott can have a big impact when they return from injury Arsenal striker Theo Walcott Photo: Nike Arsène Wenger  believes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain,  Lukas Podolski  and  Theo Walcott  can have a big impact offensively when the trio return from injury. The Gunners have suffered back-to-back home defeats at Emirates Stadium after  Chelsea  were 2-0  winners  against the north London side and booked their place in the League Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday. Podolski returned to  Arsenal  training this week following a hamstring injury and Walcott is on the comeback trail from abdominal  surgery  last month, whilst Oxlade-Chamberlain is expected to be fit in late November. “Don’t go too quickly in the conclusions knowing that at the moment we have Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Podolski who are out,” Wenger said. “It’s three players who have a big impact offensively. If you put them in I believe that it’s a compl

Wenger urges calm after Arsenal defeat to Chelsea

Image
Arsene Wenger has insisted there is no need to be concerned after Arsenal were beaten by Chelsea in the Capital One Cup a week after they lost to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League,  the Daily Telegraph  has reported. The loss to their Premier League rivals was the second home defeat in a row after the Dortmund reverse and with a third home game against Liverpool to come this weekend, it was suggested to Wenger that another victory for a visiting side could undo the Gunners’ good work of climbing to the top of the table. “ Let’s not go too quick to conclusions, ” Wenger said in reply. “ If you take the points we have made since January 1, it’s more than anyone else. On a longer distance, you’ll see more of the quality of the team than in the last two games. “ It’s difficult to swallow what happened to us in the last week, but the mistakes are so big they can be corrected, ” the manager added. “ We have to keep the basis of our game and go into the next one. “

Arsenal to make £30 million move

Arsenal are readying a big move for Stefan El Shaarawy of AC Milan, according to the Tuttomercato website We have been heavily linked with the gifted little star after it emerged that he was growing increasingly unhappy at the Italian side. And despite Milan’s defiance to keep hold of him in the summer, reports have now emerged that he is looking for a way out in January and they will invite offers. He is rated as one of the best young strikers in Europe and a bid of £25 million could tempt Milan into selling him to us. The lad is brilliant and many will be hoping a deal gets done

RATINGS: Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea: Jenks Error Killed The Game

Image
By  mac14 So we’re out the Capital One Cup at the fourth round stage for the first time in 11 years after a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday night. After a lively start, the games big turning point came in the 25th minute when Carl Jenkinson’s poor header allowed Azpilicueta in to poke home the opener. That goal proved crucial as with the goal lead, Jose Mourinho instructed his men to sit back and hit us on the break. We saw a lot more of the ball in the second half but the bank of Blue men was difficult to penetrate and they defended pretty comfortably in truth, as we struggled to create. Chelsea sealed the win with a stunner from Juan Mata in the second half and there was no way back. Here’s my ratings: Fabianski – 6  – Did very little other than pick the ball out of his net twice. May take some of the blame for the opener as he should have come off his line quicker but could do nothing about Mata’s strike. Jenkinson – 4  – Poor Jenks. Awful error was crucial and his a

Arsenal see German admit he is happy after getting deal signed

Arsenal starlet Serge Gnabry is delighted he has signed a new deal at the Emirates The lad has been making a real name for himself this season and his performances prompted Arsene Wenger to give him a new deal just in case clubs came knocking He said: “Arsenal is a great football club and I’m so happy to be here and sign a new contract. For me, now it’s all about working hard and developing my game. “I’ve had some good opportunities recently in the first team, which has given me extra confidence, and this will only improve my game. I’m looking forward to giving my best for this club in the years to come.” (Sky Sports) The lad has a big future and it was a good move from us to nail down his signature

WOW – Could Arsenal really get Lewandowski for a measly £7m?

By Bob Arsenal could grab Lewandowski on the cheap! by Ash Arsenal spent a huge amount of the summer transfer window looking for a suitable player to either be a backup to Frenchman Olivier Giroud or to support him in the attack and many of the names mentioned were those under the category of ‘world class’ players. Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney, Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema were all linked to the Gunners at one point over the course of the summer but unfortunately we failed to secure the signing of any of them. It wasn’t all doom and gloom however, because it did mean we brought in powerful assist king Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid and, although he has helped the club massively so far this campaign, one area that is still under scrutiny is the club’s attacking front line. Currently we only have Olivier Giroud as a striker of real quality. Other players like Akpom and Sanogo are nothing more than reserves, whilst Podolski and Walcott both get mixed reviews when playing through th

Arsenal's Flamini could return against the team 'of his heart'

Image
wonker Arsenal midfielder  Mathieu Flamini  is expected to be out of action for the next two to three weeks. Arsene Wenger’s heart would have sunk when he saw  Mathieu Flamini  pick up a groin injury against Crystal Palace last weekend, which deprives  the Gunners  of their best holding midfielder. The Frenchman has been outstanding during his second spell with the North London club and any games he misses over the next  two to three weeks  are going to leave the side at a big disadvantage. No other player does the dirty jobs around the pitch for  Arsenal  more effectively than Flamini, who seems to love nothing better than getting stuck in, winning back possession and then moving the ball on quickly to more creative and attacking players. Arsenal have some very important fixtures coming up in the league, most notably a home game against Liverpool before a trip to Old Trafford to take on  Premier League  champions Manchester United. Arsenal V Chelsea at Emirates Stadium : Match Preview

Arsenal right for Gnabry Tomas Rosicky believes Serge Gnabry can realise his potential at Arsenal after the Germany youth international signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners. The 18-year-old has impressed since breaking into the Arsenal first team and scored his first senior goal for the club in the 2-1 win at Swansea last month. That came a week after he made his full Barclays Premier League debut in the win over Stoke. Czech Republic forward Rosicky has been thrilled with Gnabry's contribution and anticipates further progress under boss Arsene Wenger. "He has a manager here who will develop him and who has a history of developing young players," Rosicky told arsenal.com. "Nothing better could happen to him than being offered a new contract here. "He's a good dribbler and can take on you on in the one-on-one situations. That can be his strong point in the future and for an 18-year-old he's doing very well. "He's a very talented

Wenger cautious as Wilshere plays down knock

Jack Wilshere is hoping to be fit for Saturday’s match at Crystal Palace despite sustaining a knock to his troublesome ankle although manager Arsene Wenger says the England midfielder will be assessed over the next couple of days. The England international was replaced by Santi Cazorla just before the hour mark having struggled to get his passing game going – he had only a 65% pass completion rate according to  @Orbinho   following lengthy medical treatment in the first half. Talking about the problem after the game, Wilshere  stressed  it wasn’t a major problem. “It was one of those things. I jarred my ankle and I’ve done it before. I know, five or 10 minutes, I could run it off. “If you’re a footballer you want to be in the big games.” Aware that Wilshere’s youthful exuberance often blinds the 21-year-old to the dangers of playing injured, Wenger gave a more sober assessment of the situation. “You could see he was not completely himself and that’s why I decided to take h

Arsenal played it safe against Dortmund, claims Neven Subotic

Neven Subotic felt Borussia Dortmund got their just reward after the Bundesliga side blew  Champions League  Group F wide open with victory at  Arsenal  on Tuesday. The visitors took the lead in the 16th minute through Henrikh Mkhitaryan after Aaron Ramsey was caught in possession on the edge of the box. Arsène Wenger ’s men worked their way back into the game and  Olivier Giroud  slammed home an equaliser from Bacary Sagna’s cross just before half-time. But Dortmund had the final say as Robert Lewandowski finished off a sweeping counter-attack in the 82nd minute to leave Dortmund, Napoli and Arsenal all on six points in Group F. “I don’t think Arsenal were playing their best football – they were trying to play pretty safe,” Subotic said. “They felt they were going to score one goal more than us through their patience and through their play, but we ran a lot and defended very well and had some great chances. “We are obviously very happy with the three points. We came here

Aaron Ramsey: Arsenal made to pay for switching off for 30 seconds

Image
Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey Photo: Nike Aaron Ramsey believes  Arsenal  were made to pay for switching off for “30 seconds” in the build-up to Borussia Dortmund’s winner on Tuesday. With the score at 1-1 after  Olivier Giroud  had cancelled out Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s first-half opener, the Gunners were caught out by a sweeping Dortmund counter-attack, which culminated in Robert Lewandowski firing home from close range in the 82nd minute. The result leaves  Arsène Wenger ’s men level on six points with Dortmund and Napoli in Group F – and Ramsey admitted his frustration at the Gunners’ inability to hold out for a draw. “A draw would have been a fair result after the way we played in the second half,” Ramsey told  Arsenal Player . “I felt like we were in control of the game but then we switched off for 30 seconds, we were in their box and 30 seconds later the ball is in the back of our net. “I was disappointed as well with the way they scored their first goal, I got caught o

Arsenal 1 – Dortmund 2

The game billed as Arsenal’s first real test ended in defeat for our boys. So does that mean we failed the test? Well we certainly didn’t pass it with flying colours, but I don’t think we failed it either. Sometimes football is about more than the result, last night was our first chance to see if we have actually improved, if the run since Munich home mauling last year is built on the quality of opposition we have faced or an actual improvement in our game. For me it was a closely matched contest so in that regard I would say we have definitely improved, this wasn’t us holding on as we have seen when playing some of the top European sides in the last few seasons, we were trying to take the game to them. We were most definitely up for the fight, the work ethic we have cried out for when not in possession was there, even without Flamini’s influence. If Cazorla’s effort had been 6 inches to the left we would be celebrating a glorious win, if we were not so inclined to chase the win

WALCOTT SUFFERS INJURY SETBACK

Image
An abdominal muscle strain had ruled Walcott out of England’s final two qualifiers and he is now set to miss crucial fixtures at club level after reportedly having a reaction to the injury while jogging on his return to training. Arsene Wenger spoke to the press on Monday and  The Telegraph  have quoted him as saying, “He had a setback on Thursday. He had to stop, to jog again.” The boss expects his mercurial attacker to miss another couple of weeks at the minimum which would see him miss a Champion’s League clash against Dortmund, a Premier League game against Crystal Palace, as well as a London derby against Chelsea in the Capital One Cup. Wenger added, ”I don’t think we will see him against Dortmund nor Crystal Palace nor Chelsea. He is at least two weeks away now.” So a return against Liverpool on November 2nd is a possibility. However, the Manchester United game on November 10th seems like a more realistic target for Theo’s return. In Walcott’s absence, England’s lat

Barca plot audacious Arsenal swoop

Image
Barcelona have outlined  Arsenal  midfielder Jack Wilshere  as one of the top transfer targets, according to reports from  El Mundo Deportivo . The La Liga giants are shopping for a long-term replacement for current talisman Xavi and are believed to be drawing up a list of potential successors to the  World Cup winning playmaker. Wilshere is one of their desired options following his emergence as one of the Premier League’s finest talents. The 21-year-old has overcome a series of injury setbacks to develop into one of the London club’s top players and has been tipped to do the same for his country. Barca are attracted to his on-field presence and technical ability – which was on display as he netted, arguably, the goal of the season so far during Arsenal’s weekend win. The Catalan club have a history of snapping up the Gunners’ top players, having swooped for Thierry Henry, Alex Song and Cesc Fabregas in recent years. They hope that he could form an exciting midfield trio

Arsenal vs. Dortmund Preview, Prediction and Line-up

Arsenal vs Borussia Dortmund preview, line up and score line  by KJ This is the sort of game you look forward to as an Arsenal fan. This is what being in the Champions league is all about. We host the Champions league finalist of last season at the Emirates. Borussia Dortmund are going to be one of the toughest tests we’ll have this season at the Emirates. They have a ridiculously lethal front three and follow a positive attacking philosophy under manager Jurgen Klopp. With both team’s form, this is going to be a very exciting game to watch and it’ll be intriguing to see how we look to counteract Dortmund’s potent attack. It’s fair to say that Sagna and Gibbs have their work cut out for the night. They both will have to deal with Reus and Kuba/Aubameyang respectively. All three of them are extremely pacey wide players who are technically sound. But I predict we can have a lot of fun on the flanks as well thanks to a make shift defender and an average left back. Cazorla and Wilsher
