OFFICIAL NEWS: ARSENAL DISPATCH DELEGATION TO GERMANY FOR THE STAR SIGNING!

Image
Goal has revealed that Arsenal have dispatched the delegation to Germany for their stellar signing of this January, Julian Draxler. The Premier League leaders will attempt to broker a deal for Schalke sensation Draxler in a bid to sign him before Friday’s transfer deadline, and they will also open negotiations with Frankfurt over a move for right-back Sebastian Jung. Arsenal have been in dialogue with Schalke for a number of weeks but, contrary to reports that a fee for Draxler has already been agreed, it is understood that the two clubs are still some way apart in their valuations. Wenger though refused to rule out any new addition to the Gunners’ squad this month as the North London club compete for their first league title in 10 years. Speaking about potential transfers after Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Coventry City in the FA Cup on Friday, Wenger said, “We don’t rule it out but at the moment I cannot announce anything.” Draxler is viewed as one with great technical ability and

Arsenal have announced a new long-term partnership with Puma which will see the company become the Barclays Premier League club's official kit suppliers from July 2014. Although no official figures were confirmed on Monday, the commercial deal has been described as 'the biggest deal in Puma and Arsenal's history'. The Gunners are understood to receive around £30million a year from main sponsors Emirates Airlines, and it has been reported the new deal will be for a similar amount when Puma takes over from Nike, who Arsenal have partnered since 1994. Arsenal and Schalke have agreed a fee for Julian Draxler [Jan Aage Fjortoft]

It all kicked off on Twitter on Friday night as agent Jan Aage Fjortoft announced on the stroke of half-time during our clash with Coventry that Arsenal had agreed a fee with Schalke for Julian Draxler. Former footballer Fjortoft is now a German-based agent and pundit, and is one of the more reliable out there having been the first to break the Ozil to Arsenal deal in the summer. He’s also proven to have solid information on several other deals in the past. Obviously this caused quite a stir on Twitter throughout the game with fans buzzing at the thought of us making another big-money signing. Fjortoft was quick to play-down fans getting ahead of themselves and claiming it was a ‘done deal’ by pointing out we had just agreed a fee and there was still a long way to go until Draxler was an Arsenal player. For one thing, he doesn’t know if the deal would be completed now, or in the summer. When asked about the reports after our 4-0 win over Coventry, boss Arsene Wenger said wi

“We Are Discussing With The Representatives Of Arsenal, They Are Very Interested”

The agent of Cheikhou Kouyate has revealed he is in talks with Arsenal and claims the club are ‘very interested’ in signing the Anderlecht defender. Kouyate is a name many of you may know already as he’s been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates in recent transfer windows. In fact, a move was meant to have been agreed in the summer but it fell through at the last minute due to work permit issues. The 24-year-old has since been granted a Belgian passport meaning he’s free to move to any European club and it appears we’ve now renewed our interest in the centre-back. The players agent, Saffet Balkan, has been quoted in the  Mirror  as saying that he is in talks with both Arsenal and Liverpool, but claims that we hold the most serious interest and with Man City and Southampton also in the running, he believes his client will be sealing a switch to the Premier League soon. “We are discussing with the representatives of Arsenal and Liverpool, in particular the first are very

Arsenal Closing In On Juventus Forward Mirko Vucinic Despite Wenger’s Denial

Image
Arsenal FC  to meet Mirko Vucinic’s agent as talks of his transfer to the Emirates heats up, Arsene Wenger though has denied all these reports. Arsenal have been linked with a lot of strikers in this window as reports suggest that Arsene Wenger is keen to add more depth upfront. Olivier Giroud has had to shoulder most of the responsibility upfront, and now with Walcott ruled out for the rest of the season along with fitness concerns for Bendtner and Yaya Sanogo, the Gunners will have to add another forward in this window to sustain their title challenge. Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic is one of the names which has been linked with a move to the Emirates in this window. The Montenegrin striker has been an important part of the Juventus squad since joining them in 2011 from AS Roma and was been a regular starter in the side in the last two title winning campaign. But this season after the arrival of Tevez and Llorente, the 30-year-old’s role in the side has been abbreviated to a gr

KJ’s player ratings for Arsenal vs. Fulham – Cazorla MOTM

Arsenal 2 – 0 Fulham Player Ratings Szczesny – 8 He was very good today when called upon. He was very quick off his line to deny Dejagah twice. He made a few good saves as well and was commanding from set pieces. Sagna – 8 I don’t remember the last time I rated Sagna less than an 8. Maybe it was the City game. Overall, he has been phenomenal and is a different player from the one we saw last season. Mertesacker – 7.5 A decent performance from the German but I felt he did let his marker go in one or two occasions. Bent’s chance was the most notable and it would’ve ended up as a goal had he not spectacularly missed that chance. Koscielny – 8.5 Brilliant player and one of the most talented in the squad. His passing was immaculate and he didn’t give the likes of Berbatov much space or time on the ball. Monreal – 8 He really has stepped in and added more potency to our attacking game. His runs off the ball and his final product is far better than Gibbs and I wouldn’t be surprised if Weng

Premier League: Chelsea 3 Manchester United 1

Image
19 January 2014 18:57 Samuel Eto'o scored a hat-trick as Chelsea beat Manchester United 3-1 to reduce the gap to Premier League leaders Arsenal to two points. The Cameroon international struck twice in the first half and was on target again just after the break at Stamford Bridge to take his tally to eight goals for the season as third-placed Chelsea stretched their winning run to six games in all competitions. Javier Hernandez pulled a goal back for United after coming off the bench, but It was another miserable afternoon for boss David Moyes, who will also now be without his captain Nemanja Vidic for a spell after he was sent off in injury time for a wild challenge on Eden Hazard. Defeat saw Moyes' side beaten for the first time away from home in the league for almost four months, as their chances of retaining their title were made even more remote. The champions are 14 points behind Arsenal and now face a battle to even qualify for
