Odegaard COMPLETES his medical ahead of Arsenal move

Image
The Gunners could finally be about to announce the Martin Odegaard transfer imminently as the Real Madrid attacking midfielder is said to have passed his medical. The Norway international has not featured regularly in his time at the Bernabeu but shone on loan at Real Sociedad last season. Arsenal fans will now hope he can show that kind of form again in his time at the Emirates Stadium, particularly as the club could do with a replacement for Mesut Ozil after his move to Fenerbahce. Odegaard enjoyed a very good loan spell at Real Sociedad least season, and was hoping that this season, he would finally get the opportunity to showcase his talents and get his name on the regular starting sheet at the club. However, that never happened, as Zinedine Zidane did not trust the talent, and when Arsenal came calling, he jumped at the opportunity to test himself at the London club, in the best League in the world. The rumours have all been positive about his move to Arsenal, and he now lo

Arsenal signed Mat Ryan and here is his first words as an Arsenal player after completing loan move from Brighton.

Mat Ryan has spoken his first words as an Arsenal player admitting the whole move feels "surreal" having been a Gooner since childhood. It was confirmed earlier on Friday that the Australian would be joining the Gunners from Brighton for the remainder of the season on loan. Ryan had been first choice for three seasons at the Amex but lost his place to Robert Sanchez this campaign. He will now provide competition to Bernd Leno in Mikel Arteta's squad for the remainder of the season. It's a dream come true for Ryan who revealed earlier that he was a boyhood Arsenal fan. "Yeah quite simply a dream come true," he told Arsenal.com. "You know Arsenal was my childhood club that I followed as a kid and to be sitting here right now representing them is something that I never thought would become a reality, but I'm very thankful it has. "There's still an aura of surrealness to it all to be honest. I'm really proud, it's great and it

Arsene Wenger gives an honest opinion on Mesut Ozil’s move from Arsenal to Fenerbahce

Image
As the man who brought Mesut Ozil to Arsenal, Arsene Wenger knows as much as anyone what skill set the silky midfielder can bring to the table. A lot has been written about the player over the last few months, but his former manager won’t have a bad word said about him. “Mesut is like if you imagine an orchestra in music. He’s a guy who plays the ball at the right time,” he said on beIN Sports, quoted by the Daily Express. “The timing of his pass is exceptional, but the creativity of his pass is as well. In every situation he confronts, he gives the right answer and that is genius. “I must say he can provide the assists, the key pass. I remember he was the first one, the quickest one to break the number of assists in the Premier League. In 2015/16 he had 19 assists in the league. That is absolutely amazing. “If the moment is right around him, the timing of the pass will be perfect and the quality of the pass will be perfect. He’s the kind of players strikers love, alway

DONE DEAL: Atletico Madrid secure Arsenal midfielder Torreira on season-long loan

Image
Atletico Madrid have signed Lucas Torreira on loan from Arsenal. The Uruguay midfielder will spend the 2020/21 season at the Wanda Metropolitano. Atletico will pay a loan fee, as well as covering his wages for the season. There is an option to make the deal permanent for €20m next summer. The midfielders dropped down the pecking order with Mohamed Elneny returning to form and Dani Ceballos returning from Real Madrid for another season. And with Arsenal chasing Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid, the club allowed Torreira and Guendouzi to head out on loan. Uruguayan Torreira, 24, has headed the other way by joining Atletico for the 2020-21 season. The Spanish giants have the option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season. Guendouzi, meanwhile, will spend the campaign in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin. The pair both signed for the Gunners in 2018 under Unai Emery. Only three players made more appearances for the club than Guendouzi in his first season in North

Arsenal anchorman Matteo Guendouzi has made a switch to Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin on season-long loan deal. The 21-year-old Frenchman hasn’t played for Mikel Arteta’s side since a 2-1 loss to Brighton in June, during which he was involved in a fracas with Neal Maupay. The Frenchman has joined the Gunners from Ligue 1 outfits Lorient back in 2018, having started his career in the academy of PSG. He has played 82 games for the North London club, however, has not been in the matchday squad this campaign. He featured regularly under head-coach Unai Emery in his debut campaign back in 2018-19, playing in 33 of the Gunners 38 Premier League games. He was also a regular fixture in the side for the first half of last campaign, however, featured far less following the appointment of Mikel Arteta back in December 2019. In the game at Brighton – the Gunners second following the post-lockdown restart – he had to be pulled away from Maupay during a confrontation between both sets of play

Official: Runar Alex Runarsson signs for Arsenal

Arsenal have completed a deal to sign Runar Alex Runarsson from Dijon today, as confirmed by their official website. Runarsson joined Dijon from FC Nordsjaelland, and although he started as first choice, underwhelming performances saw him lose his place to Alfred Gomis. He played 45 games for the Ligue 1 side. His signing has been championed by goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana Pavon who worked with him in Denmark, and that relationship played a key part in Arsenal’s decision to bring him in. The goalkeeper will come in as replacement for Emiliano Martinez, who quit the club to join Aston Villa last week. Welcome to The Arsenal, Alex Runarsson 🔴 👋 @runaralex — Arsenal (@Arsenal) September 21, 2020 Football.London claims the goalkeeper has cost just £1 Million, which could well give us a much-needed boost to our finances as we look to strengthen our midfield, with strong links with both Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey.
