Gunners could land Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele

That’s according to Football London journalist Charles Watts.

The France international has been heavily linked with a move away from Barca this summer, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all rumoured to be interested.

Dembele arrived at the Nou Camp last summer but has failed to make an impact on the team and the signing of Brazilian winger Malcom has pushed him further down the pecking order.

The 21-year-old was pictured with several Arsenal players yesterday, including former Borussia Dortmund team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, sparking speculation a move to the Emirates could be on the cards.

But in a Twitter Q&A, Watts revealed a deal is unlikely to happen unless it’s on a temporary basis.
“Not close,” he said.
“(Sven) Mislintat would love to get him, but Barca are adamant he is not going anyway.
“Should that stance change and he suddenly become available next week, then I’m sure Arsenal would ask the question.
“But I can’t see anyway how it could be any other deal other than a loan. They just couldn’t afford him.

“I wouldn’t get your hopes up.”

Arsenal have strengthened well this summer as Unai Emery looks to guide them back into the top four following a disappointing final season under Arsene Wenger.

He was actually pictured with some of his country men that plays for Arsenal and also Henrik was also in the picture, this is fueling the speculation the more but if this deal come through, Arsenal will surely be having one of the deadliest attacking force in Europe but they will still have to sort their back line in order to balance the team.
