Liverpool has put a foot in the UEFA Champions League final after a dominant 2-0 win over Villarreal at Anfield on Wednesday night. Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-2 in the Premier League helped by two Eddie Nketiah goals, leaving the Gunners running neck-and-neck with north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race for a Champions League spot.    The Gunners went ahead twice in the first half at Stamford Bridge thanks to Nketiah - who pounced on a weak back pass by Andreas Christensen - and Emile Smith-Rowe, only to be pegged back by equalizers from Timo Werner and Cesar Azpilicueta.     Nketiah restored the visitors’ lead in the 57th minute when he seized on another mix-up in Chelsea’s defence to make it 3-2, stabbing the ball home after Thiago Silva’s interception bounced into his path off Malang Sarr. There was no way Manchester could get a point against Liverpool at Anfield. The trio of Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mane scored the first three goals, two of them in the first 22 minutes, in an emphatic performance to which United simply had no answer. It was a really bad day in the office for Arteta and Arsenal yesterday night when they played away from home to Crystal Palace. One of the major concerns, when the lineup was released, is that there has not been good team rotation by Mikel in the team and to now brought in a player in Nuno Tavares that has not played active football for months against the tough forwards of Crystal palace is ridiculous. Tierney's situation was not mentioned as he was not even on the bench and a rusty Nuno Tavares was used in his place but he could not cover well for him as he was the major weak link that lead to the first goal.  Another blunder was not starting with the firing young Brazilian, Gabriel Martinelli who has been in good form tormenting defenders. Arsenal will be playing at Selhurst Park this evening with hopes of reclaiming the fourth spot in the league, but the Gunners will know that Crystal Palace is not to be taken lightly at all. The Gunners were very lucky to escape a defeat that would have cost them the whole three-point the last time the two sides met, with Alexandre Lacazette’s injury-time equalizer, saving our blushes at the Emirates. It is very great at the moment that we are playing much better football of late however, having won six of our seven matches since the beginning of February, Premier League title challengers Liverpool are the only side to have managed to deny us a maximum of three points.
