WHILE Arsenal celebrated Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s arrival, it was a frenetic day at the Emirates, with Olivier Giroud joined by four other players exiting, while the club missed out on West Brom captain Johnny Evans. Giroud’s £18million move to Chelsea was the biggest exit, but the club also let Mathieu Debuchy join St Etienne, Jeff Reine-Adelaide has been loaned to Angers and Chuba Akpom loaned to Sint-Truidense. Both players loaned out are highly rated at the club; the former is a French youth international heading home for the opportunity of first team football experience, and the latter is an England under-21 international. An excellent transfer deadline day for the Gunners has been followed by the news their Germany star has agreed a new deal Arsenal have confirmed that Mesut Ozil has signed a new long-term contract with the club. As revealed by Goal on Wednesday, the 29-year-old has committed his future to the north London giants by signing a new three-year contract which will keep him at Emirates Stadium until 2021. The Germany international's deal was set to expire at the end of the season and there had been interest from Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain, as well as big money offers from clubs in the Chinese Super League. New Arsenal signing Henrik Mkhitaryan has described his move to the Emirates as a "dream come true". Alexis Sanchez who moves in the opposite direction to Manchester United. The Armenia international moved to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund for £26.3m in July 2016 and since his arrival has scored 13 goals in 63 appearances for United.
