Sami Khedira To Arsenal Deal Close To Completion

It has been a busy summer for Arsenal. The Gunners have been linked with quite a number of players and they have done well by snapping up some of them. Wenger has done a good job strengthening the Gunners ahead of the new season.
Sanchez has been brought in to bolster the attack while the duo of Debuchy and Chambers have come in to strengthen the right back and probably the central defence. The arrival of Ospina would also strengthen the goalkeeping department.
One area that has been left relatively unattended to has been the defensive midfield position. Arsenal are lacking steel there and it seems Wenger is keen to address that situation. To that end, he has been linked with moves for Southampton’s Schneiderlin and Real’s Khedira. According to reports on the social media particularly from the account of Jimmy Chilides who has over time proved himself to be reliable Arsenal is close to signing Sami Khedira. This tallies with reports claiming Real Madrid are desperate to sell to Arsenal.
It is different strokes for different folks. While Southampton are adamant that they won’t sell Schneiderlin, Real are open to the sale of Khedira with his contract having just a year to run and him been unwilling to renew it. Arsenal are not the only club in the race for his signature, Bayern recently joined the race but the Die Rothen are not willing to splash out this summer as they are prepared to wait to sign him on a Bossman transfer at the expiration of his contract next season. Bayern see landing Khedira as a way of paying Real back in their own coin for signing Kroos.
Real Madrid are now ready to cash in on the German whilst they still can. According to reports, Khedira is closing in on a move to Arsenal. The Gunners could have agreed a fee with Los Blancos while Khedira is ready to lower his wage demands to seal a switch to the Emirates.
Should Khedira complete the switch to Arsenal, will Wenger still go ahead with his plans to sign a Schneiderlin who is a more natural and disciplined defensive midfielder. Khedira is more of a box to box midfielder and we have one already in Ramsey. Ramsey’s most profitable spell at Arsenal came last season and it was when he played as a box to box midfielder. Now the Khedira’s arrival is imminent, it stands to be seen who will stay behind and who will join the attack.
