Reported Arsenal injury news, Thomas Partey, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson all captured in the update

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey picked up an injury to his right thigh in training on Friday and did not feature in the 2-1 win over Fulham at the weekend.

The club have described the problem as tightness in the muscle, rather than a pull or a tear, which indicates the Ghanaian international won’t be out of contention for too long.

Oleksandr Zinchenko also missed the game on Saturday and it’s unlikely that he’ll be spending much time on the treatment table either. The Ukrainian international has a minor sprain in his left knee and he was left out for the Fulham match as a precaution.

It would suggest that the defender will be available to face Aston Villa on Wednesday evening, while Partey may need a bit longer to recover. Fans will, though, be hoping he is back for the trip to play Manchester United next weekend.

Reiss Nelson has not featured this campaign due to a muscular problem. He was on the bench for the season opener against Crystal Palace but he has been out of action since then as he undergoes treatment.

This is a concern for the Gunners because Partey is a key player to this Arsenal which they will miss a lot when they face a tough opposition in the League matches ahead, there may be a need for them to make new signing to cover for that position properly because they won't want to repeat the mistake that cost them dearly last season when they refuse to sign players to cover for their long term injured players.
