Arsenal Chairman Peter Hill-Wood Has Suffered A Heart Attack


Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has suffered a heart attack and is recovering in hospital.
The 76-year-old's heart attack followed a bout of pneumonia, the club said.
A statement from Arsenal read: "Peter was taken ill at home on Friday and is currently being treated in hospital. He is making a good recovery.
"The club wishes Peter a full and speedy return to health and our thoughts are with him and his family at this time."
Hill-Wood has been chairman of the club since 1982, and is a former vice-chairman of the Hambros Bank.
He is the third member of his family to serve as Arsenal chairman, following on from his father Denis (1962-1982) and his grandfather Samuel, who had two separate spells in the role between 1929 and 1936 and from 1946 to 1949.

Arsenal complete signing of Cedric Soares from Southampton.

   Arsenal have completed the signing of Portugal defender Cedric Soares from Southampton. The 28-year-old has joined Mikel Arteta's side on loan until the end of the season but he only has six months remaining on his contract at Southampton. He will compete alongside Hector Bellerin for the right-back slot with the Gunners and revealed he nearly joined the club previously in his career, but did not specify when. This has been the expectation of  so many fans, they have demanded for a proper cover for the right full back instead of using Niles in the wrong position which has cost the team some few times.
