Arsenal are showing interest in signing Kalvin Phillips



The report growing in the media is that Arsenal are claimed to be interested in the signing of Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United in the summer transfer window. It has been reported that Arsenal are among the clubs that are monitoring the situation of Phillips, who has yet to open talks with Leeds over signing a new contract.

Leeds use to be a big club, but Arsenal are bigger and also have a global fanbase. The Gunners are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four, and there is a strong chance that the North London club could return to the Champions League next season.

The England star is one of the finest players in his position in the Premier League and he starred for the Three Lions at Euro 2020.

The Whites know they have a top player on their hands and they have plans to extend his current deal.

But those plans have not taken off yet and it could make them lose the player who is also an home grown player.

90 Mins says his current deal will expire 2024, but he has a lot of interested parties and one of them is Arsenal FC.

The Gunners have been rebuilding their squad and have added some impressive midfielders to their ranks in recent seasons.

 Phillips will be a significant upgrade to some of the current options Arsenal are looking at or what they even have at the moment.

Arsenal have completed a deal to sign Runar Alex Runarsson from Dijon today, as confirmed by their official website. Runarsson joined Dijon from FC Nordsjaelland, and although he started as first choice, underwhelming performances saw him lose his place to Alfred Gomis. He played 45 games for the Ligue 1 side.
