Jack Wilshere Is Fully Fit, Should Arsenal Bring Him Back As Cover?

Jack Wilshere arrives with a lot of promise and hype. It was deserved. Club fans have great memories of Barca's performance and Norwich's goal. He never lacked technical ability and passion.

He has a soft left foot and is able to pass long and short. His ability to dribble through the middle was never in doubt. He could make a good deep-lying midfielder for a team that tries to build from the back like Arteta's Arsenal.

He can be useful against sit-in teams thanks to his ability to play in tight spaces and commit fouls. He can add experience to a team that sometimes lacks it. He's 30 years old and has played against the best and worst of his career. He is one of those people who is never threatened by any player or official.

His career was marred by injury and a wave of discipline. A history of trauma makes any potential deal a high-risk one. Arteta has played with Wilshere and will know the baggage of his former teammate.

This may be the cause of the hesitation when considering that the manager has confirmed Wilshere's quality at Premier League level. Despite being an exceptional player, Wilshere faces competition for any midfield spot in this team.

He's good at what every midfielder out there is good at, which is passing the ball. He's not a better tackler than Xhaka or Partey. Xhaka disagrees but this is the coach's first midfield name on the squad list.

Wilshere hasn't played a game in a while and probably won't be as fit as anyone else. Training and match days are different things.

Wilshere will sign good insurance for the club. Any injury, suspension in any position will be easily handled by him. Its downside is that it's available without signing anything.

He trains with the team, knows the culture of the club and can be drafted in for a short time if needed. Why risk signing it unless it's absolutely necessary? A game where you win a deal might do the trick, but it's the Arsenal fans who are the clever ones.

There is definitely no guarantee that he will be a good success if Arsenal eventually gave him a chance to play for the club again but can we give him a try since he's just a free agent?

The club could easily be accused of disrespectfully squeezing money or someone flying a plane with an Emirates banner overhead.
