Our sources have reported that Barcelona have accepted Arsenal’s bid for David Villa

The Spaniard is expected to fly in to London this evening before the deadline to sign a 3-year-deal worth 110k p/w deal.
The deal is very much on according to a source in Spain but we all hope this is true. By the end of the transfer window we will all know how true.

In fairness, while Messi was excellent once again during 2013, you couldn’t really begrudge Ronaldo winning the award as he was simply sensational.  Things may have turned out differently had Messi not picked up a couple of ill-timed injuries, but I think the right man won in the end. The voting system is made up of votes from each captain, manager and a media representative of FIFA member nations. Arsenal complete signing of Cedric Soares from Southampton.

   Arsenal have completed the signing of Portugal defender Cedric Soares from Southampton. The 28-year-old has joined Mikel Arteta's side on loan until the end of the season but he only has six months remaining on his contract at Southampton. He will compete alongside Hector Bellerin for the right-back slot with the Gunners and revealed he nearly joined the club previously in his career, but did not specify when. This has been the expectation of  so many fans, they have demanded for a proper cover for the right full back instead of using Niles in the wrong position which has cost the team some few times.
