KJ’s player ratings for Arsenal vs. Fulham – Cazorla MOTM

Arsenal 2 – 0 Fulham Player Ratings
Szczesny – 8
He was very good today when called upon. He was very quick off his line to deny Dejagah twice. He made a few good saves as well and was commanding from set pieces.
Sagna – 8
I don’t remember the last time I rated Sagna less than an 8. Maybe it was the City game. Overall, he has been phenomenal and is a different player from the one we saw last season.
Mertesacker – 7.5
A decent performance from the German but I felt he did let his marker go in one or two occasions. Bent’s chance was the most notable and it would’ve ended up as a goal had he not spectacularly missed that chance.
Koscielny – 8.5
Brilliant player and one of the most talented in the squad. His passing was immaculate and he didn’t give the likes of Berbatov much space or time on the ball.
Monreal – 8
He really has stepped in and added more potency to our attacking game. His runs off the ball and his final product is far better than Gibbs and I wouldn’t be surprised if Wenger opts to use him against the smaller teams.
Flamini – 6.5
Didn’t have too much to do today. Fulham aimed to sit back and tried to grind out a draw meaning Flamini had little impact on proceedings.
Wilshere – 7.5
Pretty good today and ramped it up in the second half. But was a bit wasteful near the end of the game and lost possession cheaply.
Gnabry – 7
A poor performance in the first half was slightly worrying but he was far better in the second and even managed a nutmeg.
Özil – 6.5
Pretty poor by his standards today. His passing was woeful at times and didn’t really affect the attacking play today.
Cazorla – 8.5 (MOTM)
I have to admit that I was massively wrong in asking for him to be benched. His mistake against Villa clouded my judgement but luckily Arsene has far more clarity in his thoughts on our players. He was brilliant for most of the game and was one of the only few who came out of the first half with their head held high. His goals were well taken and hopefully he can kick on and maybe get 10 goals this season.
Giroud – 7.5
He was actually pretty good today, especially on the ball. His finishing was lacking for two half decent chances. He also managed to miss a chance 2 yards out but luckily for him it was offside.
Subs:
Podolski – 7.5
Seemed to come on with a point to prove and had two very powerful shots at goal. Unfortunate for him not to get on the score sheet. Hopefully, his motivation means he plays better and becomes a vital part to our squad.
Chamberlain – 6.5
He didn’t really do much when he came on rather than missing a decent chance to score with his head.
