ARSENAL are poised to extend the contracts of three key club figures - manager Arsene Wenger, experienced defender Per Mertesacker and stalwart Bacary Sagna.

Wenger's current deal at the Emirates expires at the end of the season, but he revealed at the weekend there was "no big major doubt" over a successful conclusion to negotiations.
Mertesacker is also in talks over signing fresh terms at Arsenal, as is Sagna, who is out of contract in the summer.
New deals for Wenger and Mertesacker are close, but Sagna's situation is complicated because he is allowed to talk to other clubs.
