Arsenal And Manchester City To Lock Horns For Lewandowski

Manchester City and Arsenal will go head -to-head in a battle to sign Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund.

It was reported that the Polish striker would move to Bayern Munich once his contract is expired at the end of the season, but that move has supposedly cooled.

That has alerted Premier League giants City and Arsenal who are both plotting huge contract offers in a bid to entice Lewandowski to move to England.

According to the Mirror, City boss Manuel Pellegrini is even open to the offer of letting Edin Dzeko move in the other direction to push through a deal.

Arsene Wenger has also openly admitted that he would like a new striker to add strength and depth to his strike force.

Although in fine form, Olivier Giroud remains their only key first choice striker as it seems new signing Yaya Sanogo is not yet ready to make the step up.

Lewandowski has admitted in the past that he would like to move to the Premier League one day and that move could be sooner rather than later.
