Arsenal Player of the Month Continues Scoring Form in World Cup 2014 Qualifying

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been on fire early this season. The 22-year-old Welshman scored three goals during the month of August for the Gunners, all coming against Turkish side Fenerbahce in their UEFA Champions League qualification round. On September 6, 2013, Arsenal.com revealed that Ramsey had been voted the club’s August Player of the Month picking up where he had left off last season when he was last named the April Player of the Month. However, not only has he been getting the job done for his club, he also has taken his fine form with him on International duty where even at his young age he has earned the captaincy of the Welsh National Team. Ramsey scored a penalty against Macedonia this week, but it was not enough to see his nation come out on top as his visiting side was defeated 2-1. A late strike from Macedonia on the counter attack saw them defeat Ramsey’s side that will see them frustrated that they did not convert their multiple chances to see the match firmly in their hands. The Arsenal midfielder will look to help his national side rebound against Serbia on Tuesday as the Dragons host the Eastern Europeans at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium and will hope to jump back into the top three spots of Group A.
