11 players on the books at the Emirates Stadium were in action for their countries.
A host of Arsenal stars represented their countries on Friday night in World Cup qualifying and  fanatix has provided a comprehensive summary of how they got on.
Aaron Ramsey maintained his impressive recent scoring record by notching the only for Wales from the penalty in Macedonia. Sadly it wasn’t enough to prevent The Dragons from succumbing to defeat.
Arsenal’s record signing Mesut Ozil completed 90 minutes alongside Per Mertesacker in Germany’s easy 3-0 victory over Austria in Munich that took them a step closer to qualification.
Thomas Rosicky was another Gunners star to find the net but, like Ramsey, his efforts were in vain as he and the Czech Republic were stung in stoppage time as Armenia secured an unlikely 2-1 victory away from home.
England strolled to a 4-0 win over Moldova at Wembley with Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott both starting the game. Wilshere, still feeling his way back to full fitness, played for an hour before he was replaced, while Walcott lasted the entire 90 minutes.
Arsene Wenger will be relieved that Bacary Sagna, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud all made it through 90 minutes unscathed on a frustrating night for France as they drew 0-0 with Georgia to stay on the coattails of Group I leaders Spain.
Santi Cazorla was given the last 10 minutes in Spain 2-0 victory in Finland, while Nacho Monreal was an unused substitute
