Wenger To See 15 Million Pounds Deal Done As Talks Begins

If you believe news paper reports this evening then the Arsenal board are preparing to reopen contract negotiations worth as much as 15 million pounds with Arsene Wenger Arsenal’s long serving and arguably the most successful manager.
Arsene Wenger 63 ( 64 by next month ) will come to the end his current Arsenal deal by June 2014 but according to reports, he is satisfied with activities at the club and he is open to signing a new contract.
The French man continues to get the full support of the majority owner Stan Kroenke and the Arsenal board with the CEO of club confirming negotiations on a new contract will continue quietly behind the scenes.
The French man was key in the club completing the record breaking signing of 42.5 million pounds German Mesut Ozil on the very last day of the just concluded transfer window. Wenger has always been quick to point out to whoever cares to listen that continue desire to succeed on the pitch of play is far more important than any speculation about whether or not he will a new Arsenal contract.
‘Look, my future at the moment is not the most important thing. ‘I am not on the transfer market, so that is not a priority.’ – Wenger brushing aside speculations surrounding his future before his team defeated Tottenham in the first London derby of the season.

Arsenal have completed a deal to sign Runar Alex Runarsson from Dijon today, as confirmed by their official website. Runarsson joined Dijon from FC Nordsjaelland, and although he started as first choice, underwhelming performances saw him lose his place to Alfred Gomis. He played 45 games for the Ligue 1 side.
