Liverpool and Norwich close to signing Arsenal targets

August 24, 2012 Liverpool look set to sign Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin, after Arsenal failed to agree terms with the La Liga champions on a deal. Real wanted to send Sahin out on a season long loan, but it’s believed that the Gunners wanted to sign the Turkish international on a permanent deal.

 Liverpool are now reported to have agreed a loan deal with Sahin, which involves no view to make the transfer permanent when temporary deal ends. The signing of the Turkish international would be something of a coup for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers. Another Arsenal transfer target Lucas Biglia could be moving to Premier League Norwich on a season-long loan deal.

 The 26 year-old Anderlecht midfielder has been linked with numerous top flight English clubs this summer, including Arsenal. However, it looks like Norwich have pulled off a coup of their own. The Argentinian international is a deep-lying playmaker and would add a bit of guile to the Canaries midfield.

Arsenal complete signing of Cedric Soares from Southampton.

   Arsenal have completed the signing of Portugal defender Cedric Soares from Southampton. The 28-year-old has joined Mikel Arteta's side on loan until the end of the season but he only has six months remaining on his contract at Southampton. He will compete alongside Hector Bellerin for the right-back slot with the Gunners and revealed he nearly joined the club previously in his career, but did not specify when. This has been the expectation of  so many fans, they have demanded for a proper cover for the right full back instead of using Niles in the wrong position which has cost the team some few times. Arsenal have parted with flop Lucas Perez.

LUCAS PEREZ IS NOW A WEST HAM PLAYER. The Spaniard has joined Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham on a three-year contract. Perez, who arrived at the Emirates from from Deportivo La Coruna in 2016, leaves for just £4m two-years later – that’s less than a quarter of the £17m fee the Gunners paid for the striker. He is Manuel Pellegrini’s ninth summer signing and their second from Arsenal following the capture of Jack Wilshere last month.
