Liverpool and Norwich close to signing Arsenal targets
August 24, 2012
Liverpool look set to sign Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin, after Arsenal failed to agree terms with the La Liga champions on a deal. Real wanted to send Sahin out on a season long loan, but it’s believed that the Gunners wanted to sign the Turkish international on a permanent deal.
Liverpool are now reported to have agreed a loan deal with Sahin, which involves no view to make the transfer permanent when temporary deal ends. The signing of the Turkish international would be something of a coup for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers. Another Arsenal transfer target Lucas Biglia could be moving to Premier League Norwich on a season-long loan deal.
The 26 year-old Anderlecht midfielder has been linked with numerous top flight English clubs this summer, including Arsenal. However, it looks like Norwich have pulled off a coup of their own. The Argentinian international is a deep-lying playmaker and would add a bit of guile to the Canaries midfield.
