Will Bendtner Recieve Pay Cut?
The man we all love to hate definitely has his admirers. Either that
or he has an exceptional agent. The want away striker has made it no
secret that he wishes to leave the Emirates but is finding moving more
difficult than he expected. None the less, it hasn’t stopped the likes
of Italian giants AC Milan from casting an eye at the Dane and now its
been reported that Juventus are being linked with the striker.
As much as I would like the lad to move on (and I’m being polite), I find it difficult to believe that so many big clubs are prepared to take Bendtner off our hands. Simply put, I’m a little cautious by it all if not in the least naive. You know what they say, if its too good to be true, it probably is. None the less, the Daily Mail report that Juventus are in fact interested in his services and are prepared to offer £5m for the player.
The Dane still has two years left on his contract and a couple of clubs have taken an interest in him, especially AC Milan as I’ve said, who have been linked with the player all transfer season although they have yet to announce any talks regarding the matter. So who knows how serious their intentions really are?
Bendtner’s weekly wages are reported to have stalled all deals with the player not willing to take a pay cut.
However, now it would seem, Bendtner’s agent, Tom Brookes, has convinced the Dane that a move away from Arsenal is the best option and that a pay cut is the only way to do that. It is reported that the player is looking at a wage cut of £15k bringing his asking wage to roughly around the £35k mark. Which in my opinion is still £34k too much! However, if any club is prepared to offer the Dane that amount then it is speculated that he will accept.
