According to reports in the Daily Mail, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wanted to sell Alexandre Song to Barcelona because of his poor attitude. By Staff Writer Follow @insidelaliga Alex Song has arrived in Barcelona to complete his £15m move and will undergo a medical later on Monday before being presented to the club’s fans before the Joan Gamper Trophy match against Sampdoria on that evening. Whilst Barcelona are happy they have got the man they wanted, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly pleased to see the back of Song. It has emerged that the Cameroon midfielder’s exit had been in the offing for months after a breakdown between Wenger and the 24-year-old. Club sources claim Song’s levels of professionalism dropped massively and Wenger decided he had to leave the club this summer. Those same sources also claim that Song was arriving late to training and that his efforts were half-hearted, refusing to follow instructions from club coaches.
